Yeah the skin is looking great mate, I love that ripped effect you added to the footer area.
The chinese writing makes it look very cool, and the skin is looking good.
The background pattern looks very "artistic" im not sure if that's a good thing considering that the forum is based around cars.
Anyway, other than that its looking good.
The skin/style is looking great, I love them buttons!
It's great to see a punbb transformed and made to look completely different.
Kudos on the design part aswell, it looks fantastic.
The banner looks great, aswell as the skin.
I'd register if I played that game.
Yeah its me again, this time the problem isn't as huge as my previous one (database) but it is rather annoying. I'll try to explain as best as possible:
Well I was installing the subforum mod (1.0.9.2), Im running the latest punbb software. Once I finished doing my viewtopic edits I notice the bottom links repeated themselves 3 times.
Here is a print screen of the problem im getting:
Ive gone over the edits countless times, but no luck. Any help, or advice is greatly appriciated. Thanks.
Matt.
Thanks alot Paul, though there is just one problem, the banner shows up on the correct skin therefore it repeats itself about 4-5 times even though i have kept background-repeat on no-repeat.
If that doesn't make any sense, you can see it for yourself if you register at my site and choose "fourthpink skin". Any further advice would be greatly appriciated, Paul.
@Smartys: Hmm, how would I go about doing that, ie what code?
@Quaker: The logo img mate, i need it to be different on every style.
Thanks guys.
Well I have looked everywhere to find a code or something that will allow each style to have its own banner. For example:
oxygen = Banner1.jpg
lithium = Banner2.jpg
I can't find anything close to what I want.
It would be greatly appriciated if someone can hook me up with a code, or point me in the right direction to go about doing this, any help at all is worth alot to me.
Thanks.
You people are great, thanks alot albekko!
Hello again, im really impressed with the great help/tips you guys have been giving me for the last month. You've been a great help!
So here I am again, this time im getting a error message as shown below:
Unable to write configuration cache file to cache directory. Please make sure PHP has write access to the directory 'cache'.
It's stopping me from editing major settings via my acp, i'd really appriciate any help or advice you can give me.
Well I have just installed mega punbb 2.0 and I was wondering if there was a way of importing my database from my previous punbb site (which was the standard punbb).
I'm really grateful for any help or advice.
Thankyou very much, I didn't realise something that small could cause this, thanks again!
Matt.
Well i have no real explanation of how this has occured, my host said he was updating the servers and now my site does not load, it just says:
This PHP environment doesn't have Improved MySQL (mysqli) support built in. Improved MySQL support is required if you want to use a MySQL 4.1 (or later) database to run this forum. Consult the PHP documentation for further assistance.
I am very grateful for any help or advice.
I like your banner. Did you make it?
Nope, we had a banner competition. Thanks for all the comments guys, and for the record, i'm not going to put hooker pictures up just yet
a) You have a lot of announcement forums and other mundane stuff placed at the top of the forum listing. Generally, you want the most interesting forums up top to attract visitors' attention.
Thats a very good point, I try and do that whenever i'm starting a forum from scratch.
Thanks towelie, good comments are always nice to see
Rich Pedley wrote:aye, but could someone have found a loophole to do this?
if it happens to no-one else, then it could just be a one off error, which is obviously what I hope it is!
Nope, there should be no exploit which allows this
My guess? One of your admins did it and is too embarassed to tell
Haha, thats a great answer
It was probally a mistake, or maybe you screwed up while editing files?
Thought I might aswell "show off" my forum aswell, well its called fourthSTREET which has some meaning behind it, there basically were 4 people that helped make the site (including myself). The street part is just a verb, after all the audience are nearly all in their teens.
So what is foruthSTREET? It's a new design/art forum which unlike most of the other sites, it has little rules and we like to keep it "chilled" over there. It's a great place to show off your new graphical designs, then again it's a great place to have a laugh. So why not join us today?

I'd also like to thank and congratulate the punBB developers/team for making punBB what it is today.
i make articles like how to re-encode video for internet distrabution as well as some video card driver compairison articles, and alot of game articles, people love downloads too.
Thats how alot of websites do it, if there were no articles or downloads people wouldn't join.
I use "PHP Editor" its a free, and very easy to use program, and does the job.
The first thing I would do is ask myself, "do people need this forum?"
Thats something I also was going to mention, so many pointless forum out there.
What do you do to get members, activity and traffic to your forum? Post here and share your techniques.
If I were to make a new forum, firstly I would hire good staff, then make sure they know their jobs/tasks. Then I would go about advertising, good ways of advertising: word of mouth (online messengers), banners, sig adverts, referal systems. The rest is down to how well you run the forums, and keeping the members active and interested.
It has that proffesional look to it, I wish you luck
