Thanks for your response.

I didn't download punbb it came with the script I am using and was installed at the same time as  the main script.
In my first post I did alter the group id of the users I wanted to make mods not the user id. I changed their  group_id to 2

I am worried that if I uninstall the forum an reinstall, it won't work as I don't know what else has been altered originally

I can download the "forum files" from my server and pass them on to you if you'd like to see if anything is missing.

Looks like The version of punbb is
1.2.14

Ok.. this is the problem,

I am using a script in which punbb is installed  and intergrated into it by the software writers. All works well BUT this:

I can't view the user list in the forum admin section I am guessing they took this our for some reason because when I asked them for support in making modarators  they tell me I can't make mods.

Through some investigating of the files I was able to get the user list by direct calling of the:
http://www.xxxxxxxxxx.com/_server/forum … erlist.php

the user list comes up. But When I click on a user to see if I can make them a mod
I get a " can not find page error"  the url is http://www.xxxxxxxx.com/_server/forum/u … .php?id=24

I have gone into the database to change the user id to 2 for the users that I want to be mods but that seems to be not working as a test I made a test user and made it a mod and was not able to delete or edit posts.

Even when I go into the forum as admin I can't edit or delete.

Any Ideas out there would be very appreciated.
