Oo will this be a feature in the release of 1.3? so they can say; click a flag and it changes the forum to their language, or do i still have to use the old google page translator htaccess trick? =p

Wow thats a Majour bummer, i might have to re-think forum software =o
unless theres a clean mod/extension out there?

Im new'ish to PunBB and love the speed and simplicity, although im stuffed without sub-forums, and more confused weather to stick to 1.2 and code my site around that, or id guess its all gonna change in 1.3 i havent had a look at the code yet!

Tut Tut, not linked up properly

for example we have;
http://punbb.informer.com/forums/extern … amp;fid=48
resulting in a
Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated.

Just a heads up =]

Ausom guys!

I think im gonna try 1.3 RC =p

Im new as hell here and to punbb, but all you really need is like 2 lines of code?
http://punbb.informer.com/docs/dev.html#integration

Yea! web developer, i just copy/pasted the error code from w3 checker into google and it came up with a forum mentioning the addon having that set as default under (disable -> disable refers)

Windows only though? for some reason? what OS you use?

wink ausom well i know now =]

Yea same here MalibuKiller; I like the login bit though pretty simple and cool =]
Just need the logout to work =p

Hey, i dont know if there is anything like this out there, if not i might start to create it, So instead of typing out all there information again upon registration, they could just click a "facebook" hyperlink, opening a new window to add an app on Fbook, that then sends all there information back to the forum? Ob it would be great to have a ton more input fields to fill in to store the extra information, would be ausom and quick =]

And im also looking for a "friends" search functionability, such found in so so so so many websites, where users can search for friends already registered, by tappign in there hotmail / gmail / yahoo login to pull up there contact list, searching for friends? Is there a plugin/mod for this? or someone point me in the right direction to implement this with my main site which connnects with my forum =]

Thankies

Its ok i found it out, By default, if you have installed the "web developer" addon to FF, it automatically disables refers!?? how stupid, and iv been using it for like at leat a year haha and didnt realize =[

Hey all, so what mod/plugin does this forum use for its nice URL's?
Or is this a feature of 1.3?

OMG, i found out the problem, but i cant figure out how to fix it?
Its Firefox 3 not submitting headers?
I tryed to do a "validate xhtml" from refer hyperlink and got;

 You have requested we check the referring page, but your browser did not send the HTTP "Referer" header field. This can be for several reasons, but most commonly it is because your browser does not know about this header, has been configured not to send one, or is behind a proxy or firewall that strips it out of the request before it reaches us.

This is not an error in the referring page!

Please use the form interface on the Validator Home Page to check the page by URL.

Tryed editing settings in opera and it all worked!!!

OK, so does any body know how to fix this in firefox 3?

ok i did that Slavok, although the URL to my forum was correct
(http://localhost/projects/antichav2/forum)

And still no difference, same problem =[

Hey all iv done some research on this but i cant find jack =[
This is the error (as admin) to change any settings whatsoever,and yes the o_base_url is bang on =p
Im running everything useing XAMPp on a high end vista machine, so its localhost =]
Never had any trouble with anything like this before reguarding forums anyways, so i dont understand im totally new to Punbb converting from SMF, which was successfull minus the password problem!

i like the speed of punbb, its just can i get it to work? haha

Bad HTTP_REFERER. If you have moved these forums from one location to another or switched domains, you need to update the Base URL manually in the database (look for o_base_url in the config table) and then clear the cache by deleting all .php files in the /cache directory.

little help please =]

Ok i shortcutted it using creating a new user, since default instillation dosunt need you to activate =p yeaaa!
ok im brand spanking new to punbb, and holy hell its fast! impressed, im trying to implement it with my main site (php) iv followed this;
http://punbb.informer.com/docs/dev.html#integration
And it all works fine, are there any more examples / mods whatever for homepage intergration out there?
like login boxes/ avatars etc?

Thankies =]

how are the passwords stored? i know php so i can whip myself up a generator to create a password and incert it manually =]

Ill try and register a new account now, se eif that works, also as another alternative when resetting a password, is this info stored in the database? maybe it could be manipulated?

haha yea but i cant login as admin as i have just converted like i said

all development work on my localhost, and cant send out emails, so ill gave to generate a password and incert in manually for myself, so how are the passwords stored MD5?

Well theres the answer to my question, at teh moment im doing all development work on my localhost, and cant send out emails, so ill gave to generate a password and incert in manually for myself, so how are the passwords stored MD5?

I know im bringing up a dead post but did this get released?
Or is there another SEO mod for punbb out there?
Thankies =]
