I've searched around the post on this topic, and i know there're many requests on that, and some extensions like this are avaliable:

but after my trials, i still can't install them correctly. I'm using mediawiki 1.12 and punbb 2. Could anyone confirm me if there's actually any extension to integrate both systems (mw1.12 and punbb2) ?

it depends on the topic of your wiki.

doku is very lightweight, very easy to modify, very smart way to install a plugin, but still you have a lot to do to make a wiki with basic function.
The biggest problem is that even experienced wiki users have to re-learn how to use it. i think that's why most larger public wiki tends to use mediawiki instead of doku.
