I miss that one sad
Can't wait for its return. Good for getting quiet members to log back on smile

It doesn't work for me.
I suspect I'm pasting it in the wrong place.
Garciat, would you mind pasting the code here that I should delete in place of your code?
Just so I know I'm swapping the right code.
I hope that's ok! Nearly there now smile smile

I have just tried logging into my forum using my parent's computer and this is the message I got when I did not press "remember me":

You appear to have logged in successfully, however a cookie has not been set. Please check your settings and if applicable, enable cookies for this website.

I was NOT logged in successfully.
I had to try again and click "remember me" before it would work.
But many of my users say that they can't login even when they tick "remember me".

sad

One of my forum users reports getting the below popup when he tries to access the forum (my site is nothing to do with badijala whatever that is)
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3103/3133035406_ddd2a7689c.jpg?v=0

The user says it appears whenever he clicks to view ANY posts. He is able to close it to access the forum as normal but whenever he clicks any forum page, he gets the above message

That's defeating the purpose of having the security token, however.

But the way it was causing problems. Users were frustrated. The time length needs extending. Is there a description somewhere that I can read stating why the time is so short?

My users are still complaining. Please feel free to register and test at www.eroyton.co.uk/forum

                                                                 Regards Lucky Jim

and another from this morning:

Hello Lucky Jim the same thing happens to me all the time I have done the keep me logged in thing it makes no difference.
does it depend on the way you hold your mouth.:rolleyes:

Any tips?
I don't know how cookies work or how to check/reset them.
Any help very much appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Anywhere in particular?

ha, excellent, thanks for that smile
I now have an animated GIF of a pigeon flying across the top of my screen (using the marquee html code). Nobody will ever miss a PM again smile

I'm just saying don't say "Duh" to someone who has worked hard to create a popular extension. Oh and calling me idiotic is also rude. Conversation over.

It worked!!
Thanks for telling where to put it Garciat smile

I've search the forum and found this code which relates to 1.2

function is_ani($filename)
{
       $filecontents=file_get_contents($filename);

       $str_loc=0;
       $count=0;
       while ($count < 2) # There is no point in continuing after we find a 2nd frame
       {

               $where1=strpos($filecontents,"\x00\x21\xF9\x04",$str_loc);
               if ($where1 === FALSE)
               {
                       break;
               }
               else
               {
                       $str_loc=$where1+1;
                       $where2=strpos($filecontents,"\x00\x2C",$str_loc);
                       if ($where2 === FALSE)
                       {
                               break;
                       }
                       else
                       {
                               if ($where1+8 == $where2)
                               {
                                       $count++;
                               }
                               $str_loc=$where2+1;
                       }
               }
       }

       if ($count > 1)
       {
               return(true);

       }
       else
       {
               return(false);
       }
}

Is there a solution for 1.3?
I'm happy for GIFs to be used, but not animated ones.

Thanks for any help
Mark

I've just had another user phoning me up angry that he can't login. He's on internet explorer and is being told that he has logged in but the cookie has not been set. And yes, he has cookies enabled.

Anyone know how to achieve the above?

This is now driving me and my users POTTY.
If I spend more than about 1 minute typing my post I get the "security token" message.
Am I doing something wrong?

cheers
Mark

Thanks!
However, none of that looks like the kind of code I'm comfortable editing.
I tried the below but nothing changed. I've CAPSed the bits that I've added.

// TODO: Do not include all functions, divide them into 2 files
    if (!function_exists('pun_pm_unread_messages'))
        require $ext_info['path'].'/functions.php';

    $visit_elements['<!-- forum_visit -->'] = preg_replace('#(<p id="visit-links" class="options">.*?)(</p>)#', '$1 <span><a href="'.forum_link($forum_url['pun_pm_inbox']).'"><FONT COLOR="YELLOW">'.pun_pm_unread_messages().'</FONT></a></span>$2', $visit_elements['<!-- forum_visit -->']);
}

Let me guess, I'm WAY off?

Many of my forum users are logging on and not realising that they have a new PM.
So it needs to stand out more with a change of colour.
I've spent half an hour looking through the oxygen.css and oxygen_cs.ss files but can't find out which bit to edit.

Any tips please?
Thanks
Mark

Looks a bit sexy.
Might install it later
CHEERS!
smile

Here is a message I received today from a regular forum member

When I log in and write a post then come to submit it I find that I have been logged out, so I have to copy my post and log in again. paste my post and submit it as quickly as I can otherwise I will be logged out again.

Exactly!
There is too much information that is not important enough to have its own line in every single post of the forum.
