Are you sure you didn't mean $pun_config['o_base_url']? smile I tried it now and it works excelent, thanks smile

Hmm, that's a problem if an absolute filepath is used. Then $pun_root wasn't such nice sulotion I thought it was smile I'll see how I can solve my problem in an other way wink

Hmm, the original filepatch is 'img/smilies/'.$smiley_img[$i] which is a local path. Can't see why $pun_root.'img/smilies/'.$smiley_img[$i] wouldn't work if $pun_root is for example ./ or punbb/.

Encountered a "bug" when today when I coded on a CMS for pun. I use include/parser.php for parsing text and smilies don't work because of the file path is wrong.

I solved the problem by including $pun_root in the search path for the smilies in parser.php line 260.

I think this should be changed, all other files are included with $pun_root in the path name so why not smilies too? smile

If it's not high priority I think I will give it a try and get something written smile I don't have anything better to do anyway smile

edit: If somebody is interested I have started to code on this 'mini CMS' of mine. I have finished the design (which looks like this: http://dr-slizer.no-ip.com/stash/design.htm) and have started on the PHP coding. I'm hoping on getting a almost functional Alpha by the end of this week (yes, I have much spare time this week smile).

Waiting for 1.2 smile

What is your plans for that "news system thingy"? I've have had some thoughts on writing a "mini" CMS integrated with PunBB but if a news system is included in v1.2 I don't know if it's worth the effort to write a system myself smile

Thanks, I put a very basic version of it up at http://www.logicfury.com today. Theres nothing to see there really. All the work is in the admin section. I plan to put some screenshots up of this in the gallery.

What I need to do is get a forum on there. I'll use PunBB of course but I havn't decided how to build it into the site yet.

It doesn't work all that good in FireBird: http://dr-slizer.no-ip.com/stash/bug.jpg smile

However, I must say that the linux kernel has definitively grown since I last compiled it (one of the 1.x versions), it took 2-3 hours to compile the 2.6 version on a PIII-500!!! It used to take minutes on much older machines. Is that normal, or an effect of doing it within a terminal on the GUI instead of directly on a console?

That really sounds like a long time, I don't remember how long time it took to compile 2.6 on my 2500+ but with Linux 2.4 it takes about 5-10min. On my P75 Linux 2.4 took around 1-2 hours.

If you're not afraid for a little manual work during the installation process, do as Kennel says and try Gentoo. Their packet system is very easy to use and they seem to have recent version of almost all their pakages.

Hehe, you're right, if a moderator is stupid enough to ban themself they should feel the consequences of their own actions big_smile

I guess the fact that moderators can ban other moderators could be a nuisance if someone has appointed an asshole as moderator, but as long as the administrators are protected, I wouldn't call it a bug.

Well, what I mean is this: If i'm logged in as an moderator I can ban myself. Well not much of a bug either way, just feelt that I should point it out smile

Dunno if this really is a bug or it's feature. But, should admins and mods have the abillity to ban themself. In my point of view it's a bug smile

I will download the new version soon, I just must try it smile

Yeah, diff och patch are great tools for this such of thing. But as mentioned most Windows users don't have them. 'comp' (built in command in CMD) can be used to compare files on a windows box but I don't think there is any program that can substitute the real unix tools wink

I have one problem with the new version, I can't read any posts wink The update script worked well and didn't report any errors, but when I try the enter a topic a get the following message:

Line: 77

PunBB reported: Unable to fetch topic info
Database reported: Unknown column 'subscribers' in 'field list' (Errno: 1054)

That would mean that you are using an old version of viewtopic.php. You must have forgotten it during the update or something.

Hmm, strange. I will try to upload the files once more smile

Edit: It works now, the only file that wasn't updated was viewtopic.php. Seems like I forgot to mark it or something smile
