I just upgraded my fedora core 3 to core 5 yesterday and everything went great. but after the reboot of the server i noticed that my forums on my web site is retriveing the data very slowly page wont pop up till like 30 sec of thinking. Any ideas.....i run the latest mysql server and apache and php for the forums

Hello all
I need some help in regaurding Backuping up and restoring the punbb forums.... I am running fedora core 3 and i have 3 backup data drives in the machine. I want to be able to backup the forums and data bases to one on the backup drives. Also i am useing Mysql server for the data bases... i would asume those are to be backed up as well. If any one could help me with the best prceedure for this...i would be gratefull.

I was able to open the main.tpl with dreamweaver and add the banner to the top.....but its difficult to know where things really go ...i see the code if I set the screen on split half design and half code. but there are other things like changing the background color. I am not firmilar with code i am a gui guy .......yea yea ...i know what your gonna say....LEARN IT....lol....is there a better gui editor that i could use that would show how it looks, as i customize it??

i opened /include/template/main.tpl to add a banner. but it was blank... i just dont want to crash the thing

Hello all ....I just got my punbb forums up and running on my site over the weekend. and i have been looking at how people have added banners and images to the background of the set. I am looking to ad the banner of the home page to the top of the forums to keep the forums themed with the whole site, but not sure on how to edit the php. is there any documentation on mods?

I got it working but i get this when i and wanting to add or change catagoies
Bad HTTP_REFERER. You were referred to this page from an unauthorized source. Please go back and try again. If the problem persists please make sure that 'Base URL' is correctly set in Admin/Options and that you are visiting the forum by navigating to that URL.

ok one other thing....i have NO experiance with MYSQL....it is installed and up and running....what is the best way to config mysql and there is not docs on how to set up mysql with or for punbb....

Help....I am trying to install to my fedore core 2 server...i made a folder called Message_board and copied the unziped files to the folder. when i try to run ./install.php i get permission denied. what am i doing wrong?....i am logged in as root and the Message_board folder has write access
