Open up include/template/main.tpl and remove <pun_title>

Use the 'search' feature of this board and you will find answers to any questions you might have. Most have been answered many times before. If you find the above method not suitable to you, do a search and you will find a couple of ways to remove the title using CSS.

Excellent idea for a website, I will definately be adding it to my favourites and checking it out from time to time to see how it develops. I might even add a few records from my collection and see how they rate. Hope the site is a success

Nice theme, looks like it took a while to make. In my opinion the green is a little heavy on the eyes, perhaps you could try different shades? Just too much green in my opinion smile

Just trying to help, good luck with your forum,
Will

Very nice design.

viperxx please can you send me an email: downliner05@hotmail.com

Question to ask about the design...

Hi,

I am thinking of creating a website for my stepmum who buys property to let.

I will design the site gladly but would rather not have her phoning me every day asking me to update the site to add or remove properties. Is there already a good, open source property management script out there or is this something I am going to have to work on myself from scratch? If so would anyone be willing to give me a hand?

I have searched Google etc but not much is turned up. Most say they are free but when I go to download it is just a demo of the commercial software.

Thanks,
Will

Thank you very much for all of the suggestions, I will begin printing out these tutorials you recommended and take a read of them smile

Hi,

I am not in any way assosciated with this website, I found it this evening and believe it has a lot of potential. If you hate working with forms in php then check it out:

Hi,

I have been teaching myself slowly about Mysql by just pressing buttons and seeing what it does, how it works, and trying to relate it to Punbb and the code I have seen when editing the pun-php.

I would like to learn how to make my own mysql database with a couple of fields. I would then like to know how I can have my customer contact page connect to my database to store the information. For example, a new customer would fill out a form telling me his name, email address, delivery address and if possible the chance to attach a doc.

It is probably very simple stuff but I dont have the guts to take the first few steps for fear it wont work first time around and I will give up forever.

Would somebody be willing to post a (very) detailed report on exactly how to do this, or walk me through it step by step over msn messenger? [downliner05@hotmail.com]. If you know of an excellent tutorial (with screengrabs) please also post links.

Thank you

Will

Hi guys,

I have been using Punbb for a long time on all of my other projects but wondered if it is needed for my current one. I hope so as I find it easy to style and generally just love Pun lol.

When somebody registers they have the option to submit a short story to our site. If they do submit a story either via a post on the board or through emailing me through the board I want their username to appear on the front page of the site under the heading 'Last 5 People To Submit'.

When they submit a story via a post on the message board I want the post to immediately be hidden to other members/guests. Is there someway I can check all new threads before they are posted live?

Thanks,
Will

The only punk album wortj listening to is The Replacements - Sorry Ma Forgot To Take Out The Trash big_smile ...and Stink. Dont think the bands I like are considered punk so wont be joining, nearest to punk for me is the old NY Dolls or JT's Heartbreakers. I like your colour scheme, pretty funky.

Hi guys, maybe someone can help me here. We have three customer order forms with different prices on each form. On the index page of our site we would like a small 'textfield' where the customer enters their account number, presses Go and it automatically directs them to the correct form for them. No passwords required or anything.

Presumably I need to somehow create a list of all the account numbers in mysql, and then match each set of account numbers to the correct order form.

Can anyone give me some guidance or help with this? Thanks.

Hi,

I know that in the past people have made a killing by selling domain names for ridiculous fees. $7,000,000 for diamond.com rings a bell lol.

I am now employed as a web designer for a wholesale and retail butchers in Scotland. I managed to buy the following domain names for £2 each per year through www.1and1.co.uk

scotchpork.co.uk | scotch-pork.co.uk | scotch-lamb.co.uk | scotchlamb.co.uk | beefsuppliers.co.uk | beef-suppliers.co.uk | pork-suppliers.co.uk | porksuppliers.co.uk | lamb-suppliers.co.uk | lambsuppliers.co.uk

I personally think that they will help give our company a boost with Google etc. People will be searching for 'beef suppliers' etc so aslong as we have good content it will boost our position. In the long run we could be ranked No. 1 and turn over a lot of profit.

On the other hand though, what kind of value do domain names have themselves. Im not talking millions obviously but could any of these domain names fetch a few grand each if put on afternic or ebay?

I dont know domain values so hope somebody can tell me what todays market is like for sales....

I started with Punbb and then switched to PhpBB. I gave them both a good amount of time, looked at support available, how easy it was to style, add mods etc and PunBB was by far the better choice (so I switched back). Im not an expert when it comes to PHP and found that Support for phpbb was difficult to obtain because it was just so busy on the forum. PunBB has a busy community but you can always get your questions answered and it stays friendly.

The limited php I know has come from hacking away at PunBB and seeing what works and what doesn't.

Very clean style mate smile Keep up the good work

At present I have over 100 members that need adding to one of five different user groups. Is there an admin plugin that could simply use check boxes with all checked members going in the specified list? Or could we have a drop down list of user groups next to each member name so it will be easier...

At present I have to go to User List, find the member, click on Administration, add to User Group, wait for page to refresh, then go back to userlist... generally taking about 15 - 20 seconds to add each member to a group. Must be a quicker way of doing this?...

I have my order form located below:

http://www.yorkesofdundee.co.uk/forms/locals/form.php

All of the products are entered into mysql.

I opted for the order form instead of a whole online store because I hate trying to buy online and having to go through about 20 different pages just to order. Can anyone tell me how to add a feature similar to that shown on templatemonster.com 's index page? Notice, when you hover over one of the 4 templates it has a larger image load.

The images shouldn't be pre-loaded...I have 100 products and it would take forever just to see the order form. Can anyone suggest a suitable way of doing this?

Thanks!

Where in the css do I find the code to change the background colour of the section that I doodled in red, and the same question for the green section.

I managed to edit the background colour of the green section but only half of it changed :S Wherever there was text it kept the white background.

Cheers,
