I have been having some nagging problems, and I'm pretty sure my database is mangled.  Sometimes I can't access my forum at all, and after some minutes I get "can't access user table."  I can no longer use "show posts since last visit" because I get "unable to delete search results"

on my own box, I have successfully converted the database to mysql, and in the process of converting I found out that there are duplicate entries and things like that.  I have not been successful in converting on the server where my forum is hosted--it does run a different distro, so that may have something to do with it, but regardless,

1.  is there some way for me to reliably repair my db?
2.  can I use sqlite3 yet?

I didn't really want to make it this public.  the forum also sometimes complains about not being able to fetch user data, and I wonder if the two problems are related.  Can an sqlite database that has grown too large cause problems?  mine is over 50 megs now.

can I email you the link?

Some of my users are complaining about this.  Does anybody have any idea what can cause this?

Messages can be posted to the forums and catagory I made when I installed, but  If I try to add another catagory, It is "there" in the catagory list in the admin section, but does not show up anywhere else.

I can't change any options, either, like hiding email addresses. the changes don't stick.  The ownership and permissions of the sqlite db are as they should be  (permissions of db: 666).

People can post and reply fine.

Howdy,

I also just started getting these errors--I use sqlite too, and my problem has not resolved itself...
any ideas?

In a fit of annoyance at mysql, I setup my punbb to use sqlite.  I'm now over my fit, and would like to use mysql.  has anyone done this conversion?

thanks
