Thanks for the great software.  I'm wondering if it would be possible to place the admin pages in a separate directory.  That way users could password protect the directory (via .htaccess file) as an extra precaution against having the forum compromised.  I tried to do this mod myself but had problems with the links resolving correctly.  Are there disadvantages to doing this that would prevent it from being part of the 1.3 release (other than the time required to do it)?

No matter what forum software you use, keeping up with the latest version is important.  Once the script kiddies discover a vunerability in a version of forum software, your board is not safe.  By upgrading to the latest version you can hopefully stay ahead of the hackers.

I know I've see this done with some of the styles that are available.  I can't remember exactly how to do it off the top of my head, but I think you need to add a background-image: \url{blah.gif} to the div tag associated with new/locked/sticky posts.

This is soooo cool!

Indeed!

Great idea.  Also, I like the domain name.

Great.  I'm looking forward to the fruits of your labor.  Thanks for writing and supporting PunBB.

I can't help you... but I can reply.  More to the point, when/if someone chooses to help you, they are doing it because they want to... not because they feel they have to.  If noone shows an interest in your request, you may either need to do it yourself or hire someone to do it for you.

support for 1.2.6 any time soon?
thanks

Support for 1.2.6 is there now.  You just need to update the install_mod.php file to include 1.2.6 in the list of versions supported.

Did you fix it?  I see the same thing on both pages.  (Guests: 2  Members: stickycarrots)

Got it working perfectly now.

If anyone want to know how to do it, let me know. It's an excellent security solution.

I'm interested in learn more about your solution.  Thanks.

I see that IE7 beta is out.  I'm considering installing punbb, but I want to mod it heavily.  If 1.3 will be out in the next month or two, I'd wait for it.  Otherwise I'll probably just install something sooner.  Should I install 1.3 and keep up with the changes or just go for 1.2.6 and do a complete reinstall when 1.3 comes out.

Will it be possible to upgrade a heavily modded 1.2.6 board to 1.3 or will their be a significant number of changes to the database?

Thanks

Dexus:  Your code doesn't work for me.  I'm guessing it's because I don't have the fonttt3.ttf file.  Where do I get it, and where do I put it?

Thanks

I've looked through the current set of features and mods and don't think this is already possible.  Would it be possible to add a feature (or create a mod) that would allow topics/posts in specific forums/categories to require moderator approval before being posted to the board?

Thanks!
