The upgrade isn't going all that well from my POV - Much of my custom mods are not so removed from the previous version I am looking into just scrapping it all together and finding a new forum app... hmm

I know I'll probably be chastised for this, but I am running a site that is currently using Version: 1.1.5 and I need to know how to do a proper upgrade to the latest version - step by step if at all possible.

I have customized what I have a fair amount and I would hate to have to rebuild all over again.

What is the proper procedure for upgrading to the latest of PunBB?

Please help!!!

TIA,

Well, either I"m blind, or I'm not getting the notion of what files to download to do the upgrade - care to give a hint.. wink

What is the best procedure to upgrade from version 1.1.5 to 1.2.10???

I want to make this as painless as possible.

TIA,

Cliff

I'm still running version 1.1.5 on a site I publish and am leary to upgrade due to the nightmares I anticipate existing with any upgrade (at least that has been my past experience with otther web based apps).

Any guidelines for doing the upgrade and is it really necessary if all is running ok so far?

TIA,

Cliff

Actaully was able to find the answer, but am still wondering about how to post the full title of the forum topic and the last poster?  The forum topic is being truncated and I still havent' been able to figure out how to get the current poster informaiton to show up - BTW - PunBB really is a great forum application. smile

I've gotten the pages to show the latest active forum topics, but I would also like to not have the full title truncated and to also have the authors name added to the list - how can I accomplish this???

I remember a while back a workaround for getting the latest forum posts on another page - was wondering if there is an easier way of getting the latest posts listed on a page with the latest version of punbb?

TIA,

Thanks Paul - I'll download it smile

thanks!!!

ARRGGHHH!!!

I am having a major issue with my forums filling the whole table when viewed in IE6 and yet it works perfectly in Mozilla Firefox.

You can see the forums here:  UWDV Forums

Any ideas on what I am missing???

Are there any tutorials or other info I can look through to integrate the look of the rest of my site with PunBB?

TIA,

I am trying to figure out why I am listed as a member of the forums but cannot administer them.

I seem to have missed somehting in the process since I cannot access any aspects of administering the site.  I just did a successful conversion from IPB 1.3 to PunBB 1.1.4 but  cannot access any admin features.

ANy ideas what I can do to resolve this?

LOL - ok - it may be fluff after all... wink

Couple of minor feature requests:

1)  Link based smilies (click on a link, inserts code to create smilie in submitted message)

2)  Ability to preview message before submitting  - only in actual submit reply option, not post quick reply.

Will probably think of other requests later on...

Peace...

I'm confused on how to utilize this this code for my index.php page so that the most recent posts show up.

Is this put into a php include file???

I need to have this feature for a website I am working on and I am under a tight timeline - any help would be GREATLY appreciated... smile

BTW - Of all the forum applications I have researched, I find this one the right balance of features and ease in customizing.

I look forward to further development.
