You have two options:
a) Place users in different groups and set forum permissions accordingly (ex: you could make a group named "Monkeys" that may neither read nor write in a specific forum, and a group named "Talking Heads" that may read but not write in that forum, etc)
b) There is a password protected forums mod on Punres somewhere, which I guess is for people who don't want to bother with user groups, although I'm not exactly sure

Moved.
Much better. I like the background.
You say you used Cobalt, but I see Oxygen. What's up?
Great job on PSP-Hacks though.
edit: Smartys, you're just too quick.

Jeckyl's just asking what mods authors plan to update for 1.3 support, and which ones will suffer an untimely demise.
Can you please post your line 257?
I'll probably convert (and improve) my Bot Hide mod, the most complicated mod in the world. ![wink](https://punbb.informer.com/forums/img/smilies/wink.png)
I'll probably make an extension for logging statistics through BBClone too, though it'll probably be more advanced than my current method.
There are a few more mods I'd like to take a stab at making with my rudimentary PHP skills, but I'm not sure if I'll wait for 1.3 to come around or not.
Moved to general discussion.
superjohnyo isn't suggesting that you get rid of formatting altogether. He's saying that you should remove the style from each individual cell, instead replacing it with a class attribute, and then moving the style information to the stylesheet. It will save you on tons of space, but formatting will remain intact.
To do this quickly, simply use any text editor with a find & replace function.
Moved to modifications, because this appears to be a question about the attachment mod.
Anyway, that would be a good question for you to ask the mod author. Personally I've never used that mod, so I don't know.
This appears to be a problem with your setup rather than an actual bug in PunBB, so I've moved the thread to troubleshooting. Someone more knowledgable than me feel free to correct me if I have erred.
I get the impression that he's asking for something that let's you run different forums, each with their own databases (or at least their own prefixes), with the same files, which I believe latheesan's Multi-Forum Mod does.
Try changing $_GET['id'] to $_GET['fid'].
Also add:
Or something similar to the if statement so they can still reply to posts.
I hope that works. ![smile](https://punbb.informer.com/forums/img/smilies/smile.png)
2. What exactly do you mean? Like, it shows up on the list of forums, but when a guest clicks the link, he or she is told to log in?
Ok, I'm back. Here's an example of a URL that will display a user's posts as posts, not topics:
You'll want to mod profile.php to replace the URL of the link with that, except load the name of the user rather than mine.
druidk wrote:1) User-description. In a person's profile we lack a small-article-like section!
Because we want to put there a lot of other info! (for instance, a number of cellphone!)
How could we do that ?
For a great example on adding new profile fields, see Add attribute to users profile "sex". You should be able to play with that code a little to fit your needs.
druidk wrote:3) List of user's posts. It's terrible ! When we click to see user's posts, we see just a list of the topics, in which that user made posts!
So to find posts themself I should yet search through the topic sad(. Wold be much wiser to list user's posts themself !
You should be able to mod the URL that points to a user's posts to accomplish that. I'll post back on that in a moment.
Smartys wrote:Elzar:
But I dont want them to be able to make another person moderator or admin
It wouldn't exactly be elegant, but by using Elzar's suggestion in conjunction with CodeXP's Group Change Security mod, a moderator could try to make someone an admin/moderator, but they'd need the key that gets emailed to the administrator to do so.
As Elzar said, we heard you the first time. Topic locked.
Besides, since you're asking for help modifying the subforum mod, this isn't even really a legitimate feature request for PunBB; it is a feature request for the mod.
Moved to integration.
I'm not sure that I'd be able to help you out with this, but anyway - what do you mean by "cannot"? Do you get an error? Or just a blank page? Or something else?
And now Greasemonkeyified. Hooray!

I just corrected a few tiny grammar, punctuation, and capitalization errors (if my memory serves me correctly).
