I'd like it if each topic row could alternate colors, so you'de get a striped appearance.  It'd be ba nice alternative to using table row borders to separate topics in viewforum.php

I vastly simplified the layout on the Appalachian State University's Cycling forum:

I mainly focused on removing redundant elements and newlines.  I didn't like having outlined boxes everywhere either.
