Thanks Paul, I understand the situation. I very much like the light-weight approach of PunBB. However, my site's members may not think the same 
I'll have to do more research as for available features.

Hi,
I have a phpbb forum. Can my forum be transferred/converted to PunBB?
If so, can it handle my forum? Here's the nature of the forum:
- Typically, 30 people online at any one time.
- 257,000 posts
- 33,000 registered members
- 12,000 posts per month.
- 230MB database of tables created by phpbb.
