I'm not sure if this is a how-to or a feature request, but I'd like to figure out how to allow users to define their own passwords while registering, but also force them to respond to the verification e-mail to confirm a legitimate e-mail address.

Is this possible?

Maybe I'm missing the point here, but why would you want to associate punBB with all those casino adds and porn sites?  Especially when it's gonna cost you a grand.  Seems like there's better ways to advertise smile
