ahh. punBB did not use md5, it used sha1...whatever that is 
but my first problem i soleved
Problem 2.
usually when i chek if a user is logged on, i chek if a session is set with a id-number.
i dont understand how punBB is doing that.
(sorry for my bad english)

shit, there is atousend things punbb does when i'm logging on.
i think the code is very messy.

but i dont understand how the password is stored, in what crypto
if I hash password in md5 i get something, but if i save "password" in punBB the stored password is not the same as the md5'ed

I want to integrate punBB with my community, C.
I would like to loggon to my C from a form, and when i'm logged on i shall automaticly be online om my punBB forum.
The problem is that i cant find what and where punBB is checking if you are online or not.
please help me

Hallå.
Jag har nu valt att integrerea punBB på en webbplats.
Denna webbplatsen är liknande ett community.
Jag tänkte att jag skulle använda pun´s tabeller för user istället för att göra egna. Dvs att all information om medlemmen, namn, e-post mm ligger i pun´s tabeller.
Jag vill inte att man skall kunna logga in på forumet utan det skall göras via hemsidan och då skall man automatiskt bli inloggad på forumet.
Altså måste jag plocka ut inloggningsuppgifterna (php-koden) från pun.
Men jag får det inte att fungera.
Jag har häller aldrig kör med kakor, vilket pun gör. Utan bara vanliga sessioner. Finns det några större skillnader på dem?
Sen om någon gjort detta innan skulle jag gärna vilja få lite hjälp på starten, vet inte rikigt var jag ska börja.
