I am a member on a PunBB 1.3.2 board. It isn't my board but I have a web design background and know more code and software stuff than the board owner. I have admin access. The board is set to members only, guests can't see anything but the sign-on screen.

Recently the board is seeing a huge number of guests, it had 90 a few days ago. This seems odd. The owner pays a web host to have the site at a certain bandwidth level. The owner has been hitting the limit and we believe it is something to do with all the guests. The host suggested it may be some kind of hack or something going on against the board.

Do any of you have any suggestions as to how to fix this situation? Have any of you heard of a similar thing? Could it be some bots trying to scan the site and hammering it?

Thanks to any who can help.

Does that do anything you want? If not, I've never seen anything else here that goes in that direction.
In any case, he (rajuru) would be the best person here to adress on the subject - he's short on time though...

Thanks, I'll take a look.

Hi, I am a web designer. I have been hired by a site owner to do design work on his web site and also adjustments on his PunBB forum. I am new to PunBB but have been looking around under the hood and reading through the forums here so I have a basic feel for it. I am hoping to get better acquainted as time goes forward.

I am posting to inquire if there exists a way to subscribe to a person's twitter feed and have each tweet converted into a post and sent to a specific forum discussion area? Each time there is a new tweet it would show up as a post so forum members could then discuss it. This would be done as some kind of script and would run in the background and look for new tweets to add at prescribed intervals.

Does anything like that exist in the PunBB world?

Thanks,

oZ
