I cant figure out why this mod works one minute and not the next, is there a sync issue?

Found it - sorry, my bad I was looking in the wrong place....

nothing to see here .

I had the same issue, it was only when I used his files directly that it worked, I dont know what the difference was...

I had the opportunity recently to spend a five hour flight with one of the developers for Vista, it was pretty slick and there were a lot of new features that I really liked. I was impressed and its pretty hard to impress me when it comes to Windows, especially considering I only just reluctantly upgraded from win98 to win2k pro.

Its kinda odd to me that they are saying that its delayed until 2007 since that is when the developer told me it would hit the market anyway, he said spring of '07...

Anyway, what the guy showed me was rather intuitive and you could most certainly change the themes to however you wanted. Security, being my biggest concern seems fairly addressed as well as the addition of many other tweaks the user could perform for a pc that is being used by the whole family.

Overall I liked it, it has a very dreamy look to it, but we all know looks arent everything lol. Will have to wait and see of course if Vista delivers what the dev guy promised it would.

internal server error 500

beotiger, that's ok, I suppose it could be changed to show bytes, but really not all that many files will be in just the byte range so I am perfectly happy with this solution. Thanks again and I appreciate your answering my questions with expedience and thoughtful explanation. big_smile

jauhari, just add your version number in the install mod.php, its really easy.

Freddygb adding the html code in the description gets them to show up, but there is still the issue of it not displaying the number of topics or replies. I tried to add nico_somb's sub forum mod on top of this one but so far I have had no luck at all, I dont read french and because my phps are already modded I having a difficult go at it, perhaps you will have more luck?

I like your site a lot, very pretty, well uh I mean awesome dude...Anyway I like it a lot, its very appealing visually and is laid out nicely.

*I cant spell to save my life...argh.

freddykgb, I dont think this mod does what you are looking for. I can not see my subforums under my forums until I click on them, only then can I see that there are subforums. So no one even knows they are there until they click on them. *sniff, not what I wanted*

What I mean above is that I could not find the place to even create a subforum, I finally found it by editing a forum and that is where I saw I could make it a subforum of something else.

Excellent that worked, thank you for the help and explanation! big_smile

got what I needed thanks

File types are zip and rar, only those two types are allowed for this uploader. I have to keep a zip/rar policy because some files are huge.

I am thinking that some of the files might be too small to register even 1kb in your uploader mod since they are in the byte range. On my computer they show up as 1kb its just when I upload them they turn into 0kb files although you can still download them and they work fine, it just looks weird in the uploader directory. I dont want to have to explain over and over again that those files really arent 0kb.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I should have included that I just started using php about a week ago and prior to that I didnt know what it was other than I sometimes see it in the extension of some website addresses.

where would I find "in your comparisons, use strtolower();" Does that enable the end user to user lower case?

I am still looking for a way to use redirect urls, is this possible?

It seems that linux is case sensative, that I would have to use windows hosting for it not be, but then I would loose my php or some equally disturbing nonsense.

Anway, I didnt stop to think about this when I set up my site and forum, and now you have to type in the address to the forum exactly, title cases and all. Is there a way to add additional paths in some config file or something that would include several different ways to get there i.e. lowercase, just typing the base url and forum or something? I have seen other websites do it, I guess they are call redirect urls? I am not sure, but what do I need to change or is there a mod for this somewhere that I havent found yet?

Thanks~!

I cant figure out  why a lot of the time the filesize is 0

Edit your forums freddykgb, you will see a new field that says parent, that is how you assign it as a subforum, sadly though you wont get what you wanted to see in your pic you posted, even with the collapsable category mod, instead they will be kinda hidden until you click on the forum and then you will see all the subs.

Hey freddykgb  -

oh I finally found it, you have to create new forum edit it and then assign it a parent. yay I am not blind!
