If you are using an Apache server, then we would recommend installing mod_cloudflare to restore the visitor IP back to your logs.

phpbb is crap software Updates might be very complicated if you have installed mods.
and punbb is actually the lack of features that makes PunBB so good. If you prefer fast, this is a good choice.
