Most of your settings can be tweaked from the "Profile" menu, so look there first. smile


* Personal Information

If you want people to know, where you live, what you do, and what you like, you can fill in that information in the Profile-tab (--> Personal). If you want people to chat with yu, you can fill in your IDs from the Microsoft Messenger, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber, too (--> Messaging).


* Your Avatar

If you want an Avatar to be published with your post, use the Personality menu from the Profile Tab. An avatar is a small image that will be displayed with all your posts. You can upload your personal avatar-picture. Just follow the link and point to the graphic-file you want to upload. The checkbox 'Use avatar' below must be checked in order for the avatar to be visible in your posts.


* Different Forum-Style

There are a number of basic color themes (black, blue, red, yellow ...) for the forums which can be individualized. The standard theme is blue, but you can change that. You have to change your personal settings to do so! You can do this from the Forum. Go to the Profile tab and change the style there (Display --> Select your preferred style). Voilà, you are done and the forum will shine in your selected color. wink


* Privacy Settings

In the Privacy-Menu you can select whether you want your e-mail address to be viewable to other users or not and if you want other users to be able to send you e-mail via the forum (form e-mail) or not. You can also configure, whether the forum should "remember" you between visits. If enabled, you will not have to login every time you visit the forum. You will be logged in automatically.

It worked... although I found out, that one standard skin is very similar to the one I want... tongue thx for the fast help.

This is what I did / did not do:

There are a number of basic color themes (black, blue, red, yellow,...) for the forums which can be changed from the administration tab (Options Menu --> Default Style), if you are logged in as an admin. The standard theme is blue, so if you change the default style for the first time, new users will see the board in the new color, but you will still see the blue theme. You have to change your personal settings, too ! You can do this from the Forum. Go to the Profile tab and change the style there, too (Display --> Select your preferred style). Voila, you are done.

Hi !

I really have to say that punbb is one fast and slim board. compliments!

It would be a great help if you could point me to the right file and line to edit, if I just want to change the color of the standard style from blue to red.

functions or styles ?! I was poking around but did not find the right line to paste my precious red over...
