Im making this offer because facebook connect is a feature that i have wanted for over a year and its made no headway. If the code written for me is going to be resold to somebody else that will need to be discussed in advance. I am all for sharing but not if im paying for the code development.
If anyone seriously wants to pool then set a price and lets get it done. 2 weeks timeframe is fine so long as it works.
I am using a highly modified version of Punbb 1.3 but the core is unaltered. I am looking for somebody to make a facebook connect so that my facebook users can easily post on the boards and have the same access as my registered users.
If you are interested in programming this feature for me please email me a price and timeline under which you can complete it. You show me a working demo of the plugin working as I have requested and I pay you and you give me the working plugin.
i have tried a few methods, but the IOTA mod is simple, and effective so far. I had to actually empty two forums because it was faster to delete the forum then delete the massive spam. Since this was added no problems.
just as an fyi IOTA's mod has killed 99.99% of the spam on hte forums i have put it on. I was getting hundreds of spam bots posting a day.

it must be a new mod. I was hunting for hours a week or so ago and this was the best option I found ( the date change ). A captcha box your right is the best choice.
Thanks Guys for the feedback. I tried this on my Halo site and it seemed to work well but the forum was to small to really tell. I will know better on this other forum. That said, HCG i like the idea of Akismet but hate how i have 0 control over it which is why i have not used it.
i am getting spammed so bad its not funny. I had to completely delete an entire forum because there were thousands of porn posts. I am gonna this sugestion on it and see if it does kill a large amount of it.
great mod, thanks alot! I edited out line 93, you had an extra " and something else is in it that i couldnt be bothered to find so i just edited the whole line 
if you mean use mine as a demo, sure, but keep in mind my version doesnt use an xml feed I made it so that when i post news it automaticaally posts a thread on the CORRECT board. so if its a contest, posts on my contests board, upcoming films, in my upcoming, etc. Got a few more bells I am going to add but your code gave me a great base.

yeah i looked at that one but after seeing the complaints of members getting banned who were not spamming and no ability to adjust the settings i passed.
the spam is getting WAY out of hand with punbb I am getting hundreds. I just added this tweak in hopes it will help cut down on some of it. Thanks!

Anyone got any suggestions on how i can stop images from screwing up my layout when folks put em in the boards. I imagine its something simple I am overlooking as a newer punbb user. Example link is below

yeah its not the $keywords variable, i have manually fired it with 1 word, I see where your coming from though. The error its spitting out is a punbb error and im not 100% clear on search..php usage and why its doing that.
I am trying to integrate the search into the mainpage of my site. So i have put a form, and am then passing the data to the search.php page. Or at least im trying to. When I do something like this.
http://www.website.com/Forum/search.php?action=search&keywords=<? echo $keywords; ?>&author=&forum=-1&search_in=all&sort_by=0I get Error: Unable to fetch search results. It doesnt appear that im not allowed to call the page this way, can somebody point me to how i can make this work? Thanks guys..

Wait are you saying Smarty there is a convertor from vbulletin to punbb? LINK me. VB has more features I will admit but I can mod punbb in an hour to do all kinds of crazy cool stuff, like my "myspace" clone.
I would love to see one to go from VB to punbb. Punbb is so much nicer to work with.
