Fixed. It's because of all those fields. The cols="" and size="" were too wide.

Is it possible to display the forumname of the visitor on the frontpage of my site (Welcome Lukepuuk / Welcome guest)? An example: http://www.macosx.nl

1. Class punavatar in the style sheets.

I added float: left. Now it's in the center. Why is the avatar on this forum on the left and not on my forum?

2. Open up viewtopic.php, search for "<td><?php echo $lang_common['Pages'].': '.$pages ?></td>" and add class="punhead" to the <td> tag.

Fixed!

3. That's odd. It should be.

Not very important. For visitors everything wil have a fixed width without scrollbars

4. You'd have to edit viewforum.php and viewtopic.php to show an image instead of a link.

Couldn't find the exact location of the code yet.

None of these should be a problem or require editing of the PHP scripts in PunBB 1.2.

When will 1.2 be released?

BTW, might I ask why you have a picture of the Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf in your avatar? smile

Stumbled upon her picture recently. It's just a nice photo, my only reason to use it as a avatar. Are you Swedish?

New question!
I want everybody to subscribe before being able to post on my forum. It seems this is not possible. Everybody can post as loong as they enter a name and email address. Is this right?

1
I want avatars to be aligned left, not right. Where can I change this?

2
Author (auteur) and Message (bericht) are white in my forum. 'Page' (Pagina's) is not. Where can I change it?

3

4
I want the text 'post topic' to be a image. How can I do this?

what about the copyright? Does it anoy you?

Ludo

I removed it (along with the complete footer) because I think it's just ugly. And I thought that's allowed:

Yes, but please don't. If you must, please try to keep at least "Powered by PunBB" with the link to this site intact.

have you tried an extremly pale blue instead of the gray in the forum? it looks out of place to me something like #DBF0FF instead of #eee looks nice i think

I changed it to #DBF0FF. Have to look at it for a while before making a decision. I even changed it for the uneven posts. But I'm not sure...

Thanks anyway. BTW, integration process is not over yet. Forums tend to be very ugly and it's not easy to make them look really great. For me, a good start is to get rid of all the different shades of color and off course the borders. Together with a fixed width a forum looks already much better than it used to be.

Intercompatibility is a problem. I'm a beginner in CSS. I definitely want this site to work in:
- Mac Safari
- Mac FireFox
- Windows IE 6
- Windows IE 5.5
- Windows Firefox

I very much dislike MacIE5 (not under developement for two years) and Opera. So honoustly...

I started working on a new site for teachers in The Netherlands. I'm using Textpattern for the frontpage and PunBB for the forum. I like PunBB because it's a small forum that loads very quickly, because it is not too graphical.

I stripped the forum to match the style of my site. It's not finished yet!

Have a look!!!

I use the latest Safari and Firefox 1.0 (mainly for its developers plugin). Firefox for OSX contains some annoying little bugs.

Excusez-moi!!!

I searched in Mod requests and in Mod releases but I couldn't find it. I'm looking for a mod that allows me to view the 5 newest discussions (only the topics) in the forum on the frontpage of my site. An example of what I mean can be found on http://www.macosx.nl (right side "recent forum")

Thanks, problem solved!!!

Thanks, but that's the line for the 'normal' reply text field. It was rows="20" cols="95", I changed it to rows="15" cols="60".

But I meant the quick reply text field. It's this size in all my browsers.

BTW, in IE my forum shows grey borders. That's also on Windows?

As you can see below I changed the width of my forum to 600px. But you can also see that the quick reply box hasn't changed. How do I get the Quick Reply box to 600px?

I would like to get rid of some vertical borders in my forum. Especially those vertical grey lines in the second blue block. The lines I colored red must be transparant or gone. If possible off course.

- How can this be done, or
- in what file are those borders?

My updated Dutch language pack for punBB 1.1 can be found here.

Something else: in the file 'activate_email.tpl', shouldn't the bold word be 'e-mail address'?

I updated the Dutch language pack. Except for the 'en_stopwords.txt' file? What's that file about? Has it changed?

I've installed punBB and the dutch language pack I found. But I notice some words are not translated. I think because the Dutch translations was not updated for 1.1. So:

- Is there an updated Dutch language pack?
- How can I make my own translation of punBB?

You mean IE5 on Windows I guess? On my Mac it works in all browsers. I think most people on Windows have IE6. Maybe I change it later.

There's one more thing to do on the index page, you see the thick black line? You must change the "colspan" value for the Category-field:

From:
<td class="puncon3" colspan="6"><?php echo pun_htmlspecialchars($cur_forum['cat_name']) ?></td>

To:
<td class="puncon3" colspan="5"><?php echo pun_htmlspecialchars($cur_forum['cat_name']) ?></td>

Thanks, now it looks perfect!

"it should be removed only if there are no moderators assigned"

That's a nice solution. Or you should have the option to show or not show the moderators. But that would be hard to implement, I think.

If I only remove what you said, I get this:
http://www.raggers.net/upload/files/Picture%201.jpg

So I deleted also line 49. I hope I don't get into trouble now. I only see a double line on the right.

Another question: I've set a fixed width of 750px for my forum. How do I get it centered?

TABLE.punmain {
    border: none;
    width: 750px;
    background-color: #606060
}
TABLE.punplain {
    border: none;
    width: 100%
}
TABLE.punspacer {
    border: none;
    width: 750px

That's going to be hard for me, but I'll try. Another question: is it possible to adjust the width of the author column? I think same answer here, not? Thanks for the quick reply!
