Yeah, it auto detects it. At least thats my assumption since there's no option to "add" a skin, other than uploading the CSS to your punbb dir.

i noticed your image at the bottom under the copyright.
i hovered over it and there seems to be an "alt" there but nothing n the box, maybe you should get rid of the "alt" or put somehting in it smile

alt is a required attribute for the img tag in XHTML.

Looks nice, good job.

this *might* work, still. I'm not sure.

Hey all -

Just installed PunBB and am thrilled. I'm a designer entangled in the web app world and am always knocked out by the cool tools you all develop.

Question is simple - I have a small forum that is private and behind a passworded directory. I really don't want my users to have to log in to the passworded directory - then login to the forum as well.

Once they are in the passworded directory I want them to quickly be able to access the BB.

Can I turn off the registration ability? I know there is a turn off registration option - but have a feeling that turns off the ability to register - not eliminate the option.

Let me know - and again - thanks.

Not sure if I get what you want to do, but if you want to remove the register link you can remove it from the code itself?

look his host information up, and send his ISP an abuse email.

mmm ... wouldn't it just be easier to purchase hosting? considering you want to use a TLD, and that includes more work on your end since you're attempting to do it all yourself and it appears you don't got a great understanding of it all. if all you're going to use it for is a forum then the hosting isn't going to cost that much for a low end service plan. unless, of course you're not of age to have a credit/debit card...

Just got the Firefox update today, and much to my surprise the update system worked. It's the first time that it has for me.

It's worked for me for quite some time now.

I think the 'general' Windows user (i.e. not some super-suave geeky type) will favor it over the iPod/iTunes. Considering most of what I hear about iTunes on Windows is that it's "terrible", it's a pain in the ass, and all that jazz. However, when it comes to those Mac users... it's another story. So who knows.

Hilarious, though I'm actually looking forward to seeing how the Zune is...

I am aswell. I'm not anti-microsoft, however I do think their practices are kind of retarded (to put it nicely) the majority of the time.

I think the image sums it up. lol

If you don't know what Zune is, it's basically Microsoft's take on the iPod.

Alright I give it another shot.  Thanks for being patient with me!

I tried it again and got it...thanks.  It must have been a small mistake or something!

You'll find that a lot of the time it usually is something small.

It's possible alright. It would take some modding, and some javascript however.

Have you tried the PunBB Resource?

http://forum.utorrent.com

As far as I know, it only shows it to administrators (and possibly moderators) if you're worried about it showing the ip address to regular/guest users.

Great work, CodeXP.

The whois information from Network Solutions is the same as the whois from Whois.net so it looks like the other whois web site you used has an older record for the domain.

Hello. You could envisage a possibility of exporting the logs of PM? Thx

I'm not quite sure what you want smile

Cool plugin, Smartys.

The idea came to mind (while reading the thread) of just having a feature to report the PM to the admin of the board. Instead of having to monitor the messages which could bother some users (regardless of the fact that you can read anything from phpMyAdmin) anyhow, just a thought.

But then how would the admin view the message that was reported?

You could include the message that the user is reporting in the report itself. For instance, you could have a report form where you can enter your complaint and things of that nature but on the admins side you would see the complaint and the reported message in a quote (similar to the bbcode quote)

user complaint:
