okie changed it to varbinary now.. same thing
do i need to change the php files with thoes mods or shuld it work anyway?

i tried to but noting happends, its just say that line but i won't change it to BINARY

ye sounds like the same problem.. but, i tryed to add the BINARY mode to word but it just say "Records: 1 Duplicates: 0 Warnings: 0" in MySQL CC

Hi!
i just installed PunBB 1.2.12 on my webserver and i cant get the Scandinavian letters ( ÅÄÖ ) to work in the bultin board thay works on all other php scripts thats is on that server and in cli.
if i try to make a forum with the name "Allmänt" it becomes "Allm"
and if i try to sen a mesage with åäö in it to a topic i get the error:
"
An error was encountered
Error: Unable to insert search index words.
"

Hej!
Jag har kastat in PunBB 1.2.12 på min webserver för att driva ett litet intern forum.
nu visar det sig att åäö absolut inte vill fungera.
om jag försöker döpa ett forum till "Allmänt" blir det "Allm"
och försöker jag skriva i en tråd med åäö i texten får jag felet
"An error was encountered
Error: Unable to insert search index words."
dock så kommer den fram trots felet men utan åäö om man kollar i den tråden sen.
något tips?
