Here you go:

"File: /srv/www/vhosts/www.copy-domain.com/httpdocs/forum/profile.php
Line: 855

PunBB reported: Unable to update profile

Database reported: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '0='1',email='test@user.com' WHERE id=3' at line 1 (Errno: 1064)"

Uhm... something wrong with the SQL syntax?

Here's some more information on the server:

PHP-Version: 4.3.10
Register globals: 1
MySQL: 4.1.10a

The domain is hosted at some local company here; I'll try to find out more on the url-hiding method soon.

Hi there,

I'm using PunBB in a Website, that is hosted on, let's say, www.original-domain.com. Using URL-Hiding (through .htaccess), this site is also available on www.copy-domain.com. The latter address should be used as main address. That's why that address is being used as Base URL in the PunBB config.

Thus, my forums are also available under www.copy-domain.com/forum. Looks good. Posting and reading work well.

Unfortunately, I get problems, when a user tries to update his profile. PunBB shows the error site: "Error: Unable to update profile." Updating the same profile DOES work, when the user logs in under www.original-domain.com WHILE that original domain is being used as Base URL.

There's another problem: Updating the options in the admin menu does only work, when the admin is logged in a) under the original domain AND b) that domain is being used as Base URL. That means, that I CAN use the copy domain als Base URL, but if I then log in under the copy domain, the elementary functions, such as altering the forum title, do not work ("You must enter a board title.").

So here's my question: When using the URL-hiding method as described, is there any way to use the copy domain as main address for the forum for the users and the admin as well?

Thanks in advance!

Dominik
