Indeed smile

Thanks, I`ll let you know how it goes!

As this forum has less features than the paid/premium forums I imagine it is much lighter on server resources too?

Smartys, that was just what I was looking for smile Thank you.

I would assume the converter would not touch my invision database in anyway, just in case it fails?

I`ll give it a shot over the weekend.

Hi all,

I`ve been following the development of PunBB for the last few months. I`m currently using Invision board, my license expires in another nine months. While the software is fine, I find it extremely bloated with half the features we never use. It seems like a waste of money using just half the features!! Anyways, I`m considering selling the license and using an open source/free offering such as PunBB.

So long as the board script(s) is secure, can be themed into my site relatively easy. I`m also looking for image attachments (thumbnails), Private messaging and possibly a community gallery option of some kind. While I realise none of these come as standard, I noticed there are some third party mods.

I would also need to know whether I can convert from IPB 2.2.1 to the latest version of PunBB, if it can be done what exactly can be converted, and what would be lost?

Thanks.
