I haven't look into code at all, but I'm almost sure that it is time zone issue wink

Thanks, I'll check this.
But it will be hard to find if I'll not reproduce this error. I'll see.
Cheers

There was no discusion and error reports, so that was final version wink
Now I have something to do. I'll work with this soon.

@colak

Did you install all available extensions? cool

I pretend that there is conflict with my Show links in new window. I will try to check it now.

-------------------------------------------------
I checked it. To be honest I'm not sure how is this construction working:

$return = ($hook = get_hook('ps_handle_url_tag_end')) ? eval($hook) : null;
if ($return != null)
    return $return;

I'm almost sure that it will run until first return. So only one extension can use that kind of hooks.

I'll prepare new version of my Show links in new window soon, which will use jQuery to find all external links and force them to open in new window. Until then you must decide which extension is more important for you, or make your own wink

Maybe just one more option?
I learned making my extensions, that more options gives less queries in future wink
Adding new option to admin panel is easy, and access to it's value even easier. Imo there should be these options:

Features:
[x] limit one thanks per post
[x] limit one thanks from user X to user Y
[__] time in minutes between gave thanks

Users group:
[x] can get thanks
[x] can give thanks

ps. on my forum I'll need some extension for get fingerprint and eye scan before write a post soon tongue Users are crazy big_smile If I would install thanks system without limitations, then I'm sure after one week, some of them will have couple hundreds of thanks, and play who will first get a thousand wink

esupergood wrote:

OH NO!!!
I want users to only be able to edit their own posts until there's been a reply or X minutes has passed. And thats it. Once either of those 2 things happen, the user should NEVER be allowed to edit that post again.

I don't think this new release helps achieve this does it?

I know what you are looking for. But it should be new extension imo.
Maybe I'll do this sometime. Now my private life takes 200% of my free time wink

YonasH wrote:

I think there should be protection from this - it's necessary to block votes for own posts.

I didn't mean that user A will vote for his post. I mean, that user A and user B will cross-vote all the time for their posts. (limitation B can be used)

I have about 3000 posts on my own forum. I can create fake user account and thank to myself 3000 times, because there will be no limitation. Then I can create another fake user account and vote next 3000 times. I will do this 3 more times, and my original user account will have 15000 Thanks.
When you will apply my limitations I will have only 5.

YonasH wrote:

-each post can be thanked only once (A)
-user A can thank to user B only once (B)

Second thing.
Why user A which get 50 thanks for one post is better than user B which get only 1 thanks for different post? They both do the same work - write one post.
For example there is some community (forum) which loves to watch youtube movies. Many of them are looking for some particular movie. User A found this and got 100 thanks. But there is user B too. He is responding for single queries, hard ones, and usually get 1 thank per one help. Who is better? wink (limitation A can be used)

kierownik - maybe you can add this as an option (in admin panel) ??

I think, it should. Otherwise, some group of users can "thank" to their own posts all the time and increase counters. Deletion by moderator will remove fake thanks.

Or do something like this:
-each post can be thanked only once
-user A can thank to user B only once

first one is easy to implement, second will require new table imo.

nice idea smile
I will use it too

thanks cool

oh... wink

change $item_title['link'] to

$item_title['link'] = '<a href="'.forum_link($forum_url['post'], $cur_set['last_post_id']).'" title="'.format_time($cur_set['has_posted'], FORUM_FT_DATE).' '.sprintf($lang_forum['Topic starter'], forum_htmlencode($cur_set['poster'])).'">'.forum_htmlencode($cur_set['subject']).'</a>';

now should be ok

Khalid-S wrote:

I like it.. thanks!!

But sadly it doesnt do the same with "Most Recent Posts" (FalconFour's extension)

http://punbb.informer.com/forums/topic/ … -on-index/

...and it will never work. There is no hooks in active_topics extension
only thing which you can do is change it manually:

change:

$item_title['link'] = '<a href="'.forum_link($forum_url['post'], $cur_set['last_post_id']).'">'.forum_htmlencode($cur_set['subject']).'</a>';

to:

$item_title['link'] = '<a href="'.forum_link($forum_url['post'], $cur_set['last_post_id']).'" title="'.format_time($cur_topic['posted'], FORUM_FT_DATE).' '.sprintf($lang_forum['Topic starter'], forum_htmlencode($cur_topic['poster'])).'">'.forum_htmlencode($cur_set['subject']).'</a>';

and this:

$item_body['subject']['title'] = '<h3 class="hn"><span class="item-num">'.forum_number_format(++$item_num).'</span> '.implode(' ', $item_title).'</h3> <em> by '.forum_htmlencode($cur_set['poster']).'</em>';

to:

$item_body['subject']['title'] = '<h3 class="hn"><span class="item-num">'.forum_number_format(++$item_num).'</span> '.implode(' ', $item_title).'</h3>';

didn't test, but should work smile

You can turn off registration, and install extension for manually adding users from repository.
Then go to Administration  » Users  » Groups and turn off everything for Guests

I'm very excited to hear that you are working on more extensions

yes. my idea for this extension was to stick those topics.
if you want to remove that sticky part, just delete line 97 from manifest.xml:

$query['ORDER BY'] = 't.sticky DESC, favorite DESC, '.(($cur_forum['sort_by'] == '1') ? 't.posted' : 't.last_post').' DESC';

Now this is a option in users profile.
Check for new version in first post, or use my repository to get automatic updates prompts smile

Hello

This extension let moderators to set users group. It is configurable in admin' group panel.
Now you don't need to assign someone as admin to let him change users group. You can even set which groups can he change.

You need two steps to configure it.
1. Set "Allow moderators to set users group."
Because moderator will be able to change group only in user profile, you need to set "Allow moderators to edit user profiles." too**.
http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/990/mod1fs8.jpg

2. Assign (at least two) groups which you want to be settable by moderator - "Moderator can set this group."
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/6831/mod2wa2.jpg
(moderators will be able to change from/to group which are selected here ONLY)

** - Because I found a bug in users.php, I didn't add this feature to that place yet.

Version 1.0
moderator_group_set_1.0.zip

Hello

I found out, that moderators can ban themselves (and other moderators too). It shouldn't happen.
You can do this through Administration  » Users  » Searches.

Only admins can ban, change group and delete ALL users. All moderators can see "select" part, but only those with ban permission will see any buttons - one button exactly wink
So, in my opinion all "select" part should be available only for admins. Moderators with ban permission can do their job accessing each profile separately and don't need any mass-ban option.

Solution?
1. Make "select" parta available only for admins (including all follow actions)
2. Make it available for admins and mods with ban permission only, and protect moderators from ban themselves.

What do you think?

Sorting by last visit will be simple. I can prepare next version with this option.

@maststef - Time zones doesn't matters. It'll use only last visit time. Anyway users appear on today/week list after they leave forum (because then their lastvisit mark updates itself)
