Topic: Some users having trouble logging in

I have had a couple users who are having trouble logging in. They enter their user name and PW correctly, and PunBB looks like it's accepting their info and logging them in, but when the page comes up they are faced with the same login page. NO error message, just the same page.

In SOME cases we've been able to resolve the issue (albeit temporarily) by having them reduce the security settings in Windows IE.

Does anyone know what's causing this and is there anything I can do the board to eliminate this problem?

The problem is almost certainly cookies. They must accept first-party cookies though it is OK to block third party cookies. This is usally caused, as you have found out, by the browsers security settings being too high. There really is no good reason to block first-party cookies and lots of web applications won't work without them. Other security software could also block cookies so ask your users what they are using.
