Topic: Where to pay for PunBB?
Hi.
I want to use PunBB but can?t find where to pay for it.
I don?t want to pirate it and get troubles with the hosting company.

Thank you. I was looking at that page but my friend told me that would be considered as piracy.

GPL means that the software is free for anyone to use and that anyone can make their own changes in the source code. The only "limitation" is that if you redistribute the package, with or without your changes, it has to be GPL and that means, your have to provide the source code (which doesn't really apply to scripts since they can't be compiled). Also, you can't charge someone for GPL licensed software, it has to be free. Of course, you can show your support by donating to the developer
