Topic: manually add user to database

I've spent quite a while searching for the answer to this with not much luck.  Forgive me if it is already answered smile

I have an existing site with a user database and I would like to add PunBB forums to a private members area.  I don't really want to change the entire site over to use the PunBB user code.  All I want to do is learn how to manipulate the PunBB user information manually.  I will then edit my new user / change password code to also update the PunBB database.

Is this as simple as adding to / updating the 'users' table apprpriately?

Just insert the needed data into the users table... nothing more smile
