Topic: RSS DTD from Netscape will disappear

Hello,

The file upload/extern.php makes a reference to http://my.netscape.com/publish/formats/rss-0.91.dtd, but this file will disappear in a few months:

In PunBB 1.3, we've switched to RSS 2.0. We'll see, maybe we will backport the RSS 2.0 support to 1.2, but I won't promise anything. Thanks for the heads up though!

If I nuke that reference to the Netscape 0.91 DTD in extern.php, the RSS still seems to work fine. Am I committing any big RSS/ validation sin if I do so?

No, not really: you'll only have issues if a tool using the RSS feed requires the DTD (which it shouldn't).
