Topic: An error was encountered PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.!

Hi,

I have made previous posts on this forum before about tables being deleted on their own, I've run the debug mode and here is what I come up with:

I jsut re-installed the software & it did it agian immediately after install and plugin install was complete.

I'm currently using ver. 1.2.16 as of 9:30 AM. CST

I KEEP LOSING MY FORUM FOR THE SIXTH TIME, AND IT'S PISSING ME OFF!

Please Help! sad

If you say I need to create the table again to fix my problem, I'm completely new to this whole forum thing.

Please in detail explain the steps & if there is any particular software that I will need to do this & how, remember I know NOTHING about programming!

Here is the newest error I get:

An error was encountered
File: /home/thefoacl/public_html/forum/index.php
Line: 42

PunBB reported: Unable to fetch category/forum list

Database reported: Table 'thefoacl_forum.categories' doesn't exist (Errno: 1146)

Thanks for your help in advance

Re: An error was encountered PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.!

Not sure this is the cause of yur problem but I think you should not use . character in table name, I would use thefoacl_ instead of thefoacl_forum. as a suffix.

Re: An error was encountered PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.!

yemgi, that's the SQL naming for tables: db.table_name wink

What plugins are you using?

Re: An error was encountered PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.!

Running these plug-ins from punres.org

AP_DB_management
AP_Broadcast_Email
AP_User_management
AP_Forum_cleanup

Re: An error was encountered PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.!

Tables can't be deleted on their own. You need to execute a query to delete them. Talk to your host.

Re: An error was encountered PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.!

Maybe you deleted it through the DB management plugin?

Re: An error was encountered PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P.!

none of those plugins require them to be installed by running an install.php file(they're just dropped in the plugins folder) so dbs/tables shouldn't be altered by just installing them... right?
