Topic: Install error when using the latest revision (1611)

Registered just to point this one out. In revisions 1610 and 1611 $db has been replaced by $pun_db. Tried to install rev 1611 today and got a blank screen after entering all the details needed for the installation (pre 1610 revisions installed fine). My first thought was to replace $pun_db with $db in install.php and it worked like a charm. So devs, might be an idea to change it back wink

They probably forgot to change the initialisation line. No need to change everything back if you can just change one thing.

You're right elbekko. Kinda forgot that one. Still a pesky bug though. My post was intended to be a quick fix not a final solution. I'm not a very experienced PHP developer. I was glad a simple change like that let me continue playing with PunBB.
