Topic: email all new or unanswered topics periodically?

Is it possible to have each moderator automatically subscribed to every new post in the Forums they are moderating?  This seems like it would be a no brainer, but I can't seem to figure out how to get this enabled.  Is there a mod required for this?  I've searched the Wiki and these forums, but I keep hitting dead ends.

Alternatively, it would be even better to email moderators a list of unanswered topics at the beginning and end of each day.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!  PubBB really is an excellent and flexible forum, I just wish I was a PHP expert.  javascript:insert_text(':P',%20'');

The features you have described can be implemented in an extension.

How would one go about implementing an extension?  Does one already exist?  If not, is there a developer connection somewhere?
