Topic: Multiple aliases

Guys, so I've been using PunBB for awhile and things are pretty good.  I have a few questions.  Is there a way to track multiple aliases besides using IP information?  IP is not exactly accurate.  I was wondering if there was a cookie based solution.  The thought is, could a tracking cookie be used to determine if there are multiple aliases from that one browser?  The solution wouldn't work if the person uses seperate browser for each alias, however. 

Anyways, thoughts?
