Topic: Adf.ly - What backlinks are welcome, which aren't

Today I came across a member here using an adf.ly  shortened URL in his signature/website ...
I don't think people should be earning money for linking websites here....

As a moderator I don't want to go to URL shortened sites to see if they are relevant to PunBB  - normally people link to PunBB forums they run. The other websites not using PunBB forums are not welcome to be linked to here I think.

Any differing opinions?

I've added this to the rules any user accepts when registering here:

4. If you post a link in your signature or under website here it should be related to PunBB forums, i.e. it should be a forum that runs PunBB or a site that offers some kind of added value to anyone who has a PunBB forum (for example downloads of extensions). Relevance is key. If you're unsure post in the general discussion forum.
