Topic: Test version 1.4 Beta 1

The PunBB team is happy to announce the release of Beta 1.

What’s new and improved in Beta 1 (from 1.4dev).

  • Disabled by default Redirect. We use new system called Flash Messenger.

  • PunBB 1.4 drop support PHP 4. Now minimum required version is PHP 5.0.

  • Improved work on mobile devices like iPhone (work in progress).

  • Add settings for enable/disable moderators list on forum main page (disabled by default).

  • Add functions for extension developers.

  • Add last visited time to user profile.

  • Add Ctrl+Enter submit to post forms.

  • Many small improvements in Oxygen style and markup.

nice idea impreved compatibility with smartphone, can you provide information about the Flash Messenger

Mobile version not will be included in core 1.4.
Maybe i create extensions for it. We have not enough hardware (smartphones) for full testing.

Flash messenger — its a simple messages in a screen top.
We use it as replacment for messages in redirect pages — like "Profile updated.".
