Mail Hollywood Forum has ... 10707 users! That's ALOT of users :D

The forum i put up for students in my school has currently 125 users and a little over 7000 posts (has been up since may 2004)

thx man... but i acctually need some advice... my school has over 1600 students and i have only "caught" about 125 of them... how do i reach the others?
One problem in my forum is that there are loads of Off topic-discussions. Is that a possible reason? or is it just the holiday perhaps? 
I think it might be a little bit early to say,, but it is possible that the number of posts vill increase at the beginning of the semester.
Keep also in mind that the exam period is a perfect time to escape to a forum

Punbb works a as a clock, i use to be on Invision but it takes to much traffic with punbb my traffic costs me 3 times cheaper:))))))

my friend who has board with 100000+ messages is on another engine (IPB) and he wants to change engine because of heavy traffic. he is scared of punbb security, he doesn't know stable punbb or not
i was on IPB and change engine about 2 weeks ago to PUNBB. I'm happy

Yes, it's currently the biggest one :)
It's not necessary, I'm parsing the homepage, or using "extern.php?action=stats". Though, I've been thinking of doing an own stats-page that I can fetch info from as extern.php doesn't show which version the forum is running.

Okay, please don't beat me for diggin' up this old thread, but I thought it had LOTS of very interesting posts and I wanted to ask a question or two to many of those who posted in this topic...
WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO YOUR FORUMS???
Many are closed / unavailable... one even says "bye" on the homepage: WHY??? Did it close because of costs of running it or another reason?
Also, many more are on a different forum script?!!?!?! WHY??? Did you move it from PunBB because of the reason mentioned earlier in this thread... because members requested more features... or another reason?
Well, even if I don't get answers to those questions, I'd be super curious to see some of the more recent super huge PunBB forums.
I have the same question with reviewum, why these forum change this forum scripts to others ?
My site use phpbb 1.x now, and more 15000 members and 250000, replys, I want to change to Punbb.
So any answers is good for us, thanks.
