Geeklog integration?

Hi all,

I'm very interested in using PunBB with my geeklog site, however, I'm wondering if anyone else has done that before? Geeklog is a CMS [more info at: http://www.geeklog.net/ ], and there are mods for it to integrate phpBB. I did read the FAQ, esp. section 3.3, concerning how to use the templates to stick PunBB into an already existing site, but for my use, it would not be enough. I need PunBB to be able to use Geeklog's user database, so that when a user registers with Geeklog, they get the same username/passwd in PunBB. This is how the Gallery http://gallery.sf.net/ integration works - it shares user/passwd info by grabbing it from the Geeklog db.

Is anyone working on this? From what I've seen so far of PunBB, it seems like a perfect fit, as my 'net connection, while static, isn't the fastest, and I'm big on being html/css compliant [something that can be a challenge with Geeklog!].

Any tips/pointers/info would be most appreciated!
