in MySQL table: punbb_online HEAP 126 kB
for user 208 byte...
=> maximum online users 618 (!!!)
but few sad

Find the biggest forum you can think of and then look at how many users are online at the same time.

Not really a problem. The few forums that are affected by the limits of HEAP tables can ju increase max_heap_table_size or convert the table into a MyISAM table.
