Topic: Converting from phpbb

Many appologies for this post, but I need a rapid fix, and thought this post might be the best way of solving my problems. I've quite a large phpbb forum, I want to move it to this utterly fantastic punbb.

Okey. I've uploaded punbb 1.1, ran the converter and everything was gravey. All my old posts / users seamlessly imported and all running rather well. Upgrading to 1.2, sigh.

Deleted everything in my /forums/ directory, left only the img directory and config.php. Backed up the forums database, then nuked all the tables. Effectivly a clean install. Upload the 1.2 files then I run the 11_12_update.php (?). Start the update and get this;

Version mismatch. This script updates version 1.1 and 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 and 1.1.5 to version 1.2. The database 'technowa_forums' doesn't seem to be running a supported version.

Tried restoring the old database, but to no avail - I get an error with a 'cant get guest', or something like that, dont think that is the potent problem here though.

whats that mean? you leave the tables as they are when you upgrade, if you want some quick support you might be better talking in #punbb @ irc.quakenet.org on irc if not, restore the db and try running the upgrade script, OR restore the phpbb db and run the beta convertor to 1.2 http://punbb.org/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=28387#p28387

Have a look in the config-table at the row called 'o_cur_version', what value does it have?
