Topic: CMS Made Simple module

I've just built a preliminary module to integrate PunBB with CMS Made Simple (http://www.cmsmadesimple.org).

It uses PunBB for the forums, obviously, but I also integrated the PunBB user and group database to provide for user-side access control over all the content in the CMS. By placing a tag in a page template, it comes under access control. In the CMS admin area, you can assign access rights to the PunBB groups on a page-by-page basis.

It's a little crufty, and will need further development, but I just wanted to let the community know smile

Re: CMS Made Simple module

Yay! It uses PunBB for the forums. (Wait. I already knew that. smile ) CMS Made Simple could be abbreviated as CMS, which could be a recursive acronym then for CMS: Made Simple. (Back on topic...)

Well, not exactly a demo. You can download and install CMS Made Simple (which actually does use "CMS" as its acronym, although some people render it as "CMSMS") from the project home page. The module has been posted in the User Contributed Modules section of the project Wiki.

So, I guess it's not a demo, but you can install a full working version easily enough.

Actually, the PunBB module I wrote requires the very latest release (nightly build), even later than 0.10beta4. But 0.10 will be released soon, and the module will work with it. So, to save you some time, here are the URLs:

CMS Made Simple Nightly Build: http://cmsmadesimple.org/cms-daily.tar.gz (please read the warning on the project page about Nightly Builds)

PunBB/Protected Pages Module: http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/tiki-down … p?attId=79

I'm sure there will be bugs and other problems. I welcome bug reports!

Thanks,
SjG
