Topic: Integrated login with DokuWiki

I would like to have a single user database shared between DokuWiki and PunBB but have no wish for any further integration between the two. Reading the other posts on the forum this sounds like it should be very easy... if you know PHP and/or SQL. Unfortunately I have no experience of either. I've looked at the http://punbb.org/docs/dev.html#integration page but it's pretty much all greek to me.

Could anyone point me in the right direction/give me instructions on how to do this. I'm starting from scratch so I don't have any existing user databases to migrate/merge. I note the DokuWiki mod but this looks like it merges the two more than I would like. Is there anything amongst the mod files that I could copy/use as a starting point.

the dokuwiki mod merges the users and puts the punbb header on the wiki, otherwise the wiki is left as clean as possible
