Topic: Suggestions

For the all the new mods that come out, there should be different readme:
- the orginal
- punmod version (save as pm_readme)
- easymod version (save as em_readme)

It is not hard for the, us, users to do this, but if pun wants more people getting new mods faster and efficently, we need to add these files. Later we need to have punmod or easy mode include to the next version of punbb. Then one of these simple installers can be removed and save lots of people time. I prefer the use of punmod installer

I actually think the one to use now is this one.
And ideally, the readme should work perfectly without having to write a second one

And the installer is an add-on to PunBB, it shouldn't come with it

whops, punmod is also punres. They are the same, with 2 names
and for the add-on for Punbb, at lease give us the file too, if it needs to be seperate

You can download it if you want/need it, it doesn't need to be included: you don't get all the plugins when you download PunBB, do you?

nope most redirect to punres, but i check punres, but like only 1 in 4 does have those files, it is not popular since it is ot embeded with the installer

Plugins are on PunBB, unless they're a part of a mod, in which case they're on Punres with the rest of the mod
And I'm not sure how the installer works, but how I'd assume it works is to take the readme and, based on a general format, do the changes from there

Errrm, there is no easymod for punbb? Punmod was an alpha and has now become the punres installer, which is still an alpha... There is really nothing more to say, they are not viable options to install mods yet.

Especially since most people will have several mods, not only one.
I really thought for days about a way to solve that but I couldn't find anything clever...
