Topic: where to find and edit <item> for extern.php ?

Hello,
sorry if this questions seems stupid because obvious for some of you but as one says, the one who asks a question can look stupid, but the one who doesn't will remain stupid.
I have searched but could not find the answer and I am so tired tongue ...
I just want to get rid of those bullets in extern.php (I'm using punbb 1.2.8) and replace with something nice(r).

Go to extern.php, and search it for "<ul>" or "<li>" or something like that. Then get rid of them and replace it with an image or something prior to where the links are spit out. This should get the effect your looking for.

Thats an alternative to connorhd's reccomendation.
