• Steps to getting PunBB 1.3 to work on SourceForge.net

You can create new or edit existing groups at the page <FORUM>/admin/groups.php.

Group creation

• Choose base-group for your group.
• Press “Add new group” button.
• Choose permissions for new group.
• Press “Save” button.

The mechanism of SEF:

1. Request some URL
2. Server Apache read file .htaccess in the root of Forum directory. (For others servers refer to its documentation).
3. Load of rewrite.php.
4. Translation request URL in standard according to SEF rules.
5. Load needed file.

You can change URL scheme via forum administration console.

1. Go to Anministration ⇒ Settings (”/admin/settings.php?section=setup”)
2. You will see URL Scheme section here.
3. Rename file ”.htaccess.dist” from Fourm root direstory to ”.htaccess”.
4. Choose URL scheme you needed and click “Save changes” button.
