lol

allowing html on a forum, is just askin' for it big_smile

ah ok, I'm not using that Nucleus plugin. I do have commenting turned off too though.
I am running the Nucleus RSS/Atom Aggregator though, for pulling RSS feeds as link lists.

I've been trying to stick w/Pun data. (extern.php & the .rss.php mod files)

Time to dive into some code here & see what kind of errors I can create smile

Edit: just wanted to add...
from a SEO standpoint, having the post preview (newest first) under articles, would keep those pages fresh for the SEs too. BIG added benefit there! wink

no prob conorhd,
a few of your posts have helped me in the past, just from search results wink

Hey hcgtv smile
We traded a few posts on this subject, a few months back.

After coming back at this w/fresh eyeballs, I think simply having the post previews (newest first) under the article w/the forum link, would be a superior solution!
From a usability standpoint & you'd avoid all the spam/bot/troll problems that come with a comment form.

What do you think?

Since I have no comments yet & I want it to create forum topics on a article by article basis.
Do I need to upgrade from the last release?

It seems to be running fine w/1.2.5?

Thanx

Thanx connorhd,

I discovered a few cool things, playing around last night wink

I'm running the Nucleus/Pun mod & was wishing for round-trip comments/posts between Nuc & Pun on articles.
I think letting Pun handle the discussions is a better idea now & just echo the "Topic preview" from post.php under the article, w/the link to the forum topic.

I think I can figure it out from existing code, I won't hold it against ya, if you have the code off the top of your head though? big_smile
What to include outside of Pun, is what I'm fuzzy about?

cheers

oh ok smile

You talking about...
type: RSS. Anything else means HTML output?

I've been looking into displaying rss items as pages too, I found a few things that weren't finished, last I looked.

I'll post back some info on that, when I find it again.

cheers

old TV show, nevermind smile

Your first post made no sense to me? you had my attention with "extern.php RSS" then lost me with BBCode HTML?

Whatcha talkin 'bout Willis?

Just deciding to install one of these or wait for 1.3?

Mambo is great for noobs!

You want a little frontpage on that bloat sandwich? big_smile

Connorhd,
have you looked at Widg?

Am curious what some others think? I was impressed with the minimalist design & its performance.

P.S. it uses a really cool way to do image button rollovers w/css too. (editor buttons) check it out!

cheers

Been using http://editplus.com w/my own cliptext library for years! wink

I can't say anything else about FP, that hasn't been said 1,000,001 times before, except...

Some understand & choose to listen, others don't! lol

I meant nasties as in NON-valid markup, like <div align="center">, font tag soup etc.

.js exploits too though smile

Widg did a great job keeping things valid, in the limited tests I've done...

cheers

I prefer to spell it like Frontpage©...

© stands for crap lol

Great Mod! wink

I've been tweaking it & have 1 thing I need help with still...
#1 How can I add a line break in the smileys, so I get 1 smiley row & 2 rows of 26 cards each?

Maybe, count back from the last card smiley 26<add break, count back another 26<add break?
This would allow adding more face smileys w/out sporking things then.
or should I just make a hardcoded version? sad
http://organiccss.com/stuff/puneditor.gif

Any help would be most appreciated, I'm scripting challenged big time lol

So far, I have...
added title tags to the smiley img tags
added a smiley_alt array to parser.php for custom alt/title tag text
added a few color div buttons, to color text with.
added a few styles to the input buttons.
got rid of the http:// & code buttons, Pun autoparses http:// & www already & its not a code related site.

really sweet mod! wink

Thanx

It rocks & is a perfect fit for Pun! wink http://www.themaninblue.com/experiment/widgEditor/

I had thought about HTML to BBcoding it, found Rickard's BBcode mod first though.
A few input button styles & Voila! smile

I hacked up ALA's "Old" fontswitcher.js for instantly previewing stylesheets with a single click.
used it here without the cookie for just fonts... http://organiccss.com/tools/font-size-em-reference/ thats an old cheatsheet, need to update the script & markup smile

Theres a new improved one out now... http://www.alistapart.com/articles/bodyswitchers/

I've heard a lot of stories about people having their accts. suspended, RIGHT BEFORE they had a check coming?

sounds like their standard MO to me... sad
