yes,

a) you could try setting the maximum signature length to 0
b) you could remove the signature from from the profile.

a) will only work if it's a fresh board and/or someone tries to update their sig, it doesn't remove them so current sigs are still intact.

true, but they you can just delete eveyones sig fron the db in one go.
