Topic: Just starting with PunBB

Hello I've just started uploading, well its nearly done but my host does not allow the .htaccess file, will my PunBB software be fine without that file or will it be error ridden and not work probably.

I think PunBB looks awesome so a big well done to all developers of PunBB. Its a bit like phpBB and I've always had just one problem and thats on the board index it just says By whoever, and doesnt say the topic name, just who by and what time how can I make it like vBulletin, SMF, IPB etc which show the topic name which is there on main index of board.

1. PunBB will work fine without .htaccess support

2. There's been ample discussion about displaying the title of the most recently active topic; check the linked pages and do a couple searches through the forums. Feel free to ask questions if you require assistance.
