Tickers, RSS feeds etc

Hello,

I would like to add a ticker to the top of my board, it will use either the espn feed or just a generic ticker with sports scores etc. Only like 10 pixels tall and 350 wide right above or below the forum links at the top

1. Ive seen tickers that are java, flash etc which one would be best?
2. I would like this to be on some styles but not others so is there a way to add this to the stylename.css?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
